With volcanoes as powerful as they are fiercely beautiful, and snowy plains carved from glaciers and lava flows, Iceland in winter is a spectacular place to visit. In a few short days, spending time beneath Iceland’s vast open sky, travelling across her endlessly breathtaking and varied landscapes, I felt at home again in her arctic embrace.
